Places we've gone

Over the past few years as a scout troop, we've been doing tons of things. Every summer usually during the month of July, we go to the boy scout camp, Nobebosco( Notrh Bergen Boy Scouts). Nobebosco is a week long camp that allows scouts to work on mert badges through out the week.It's not all work though, we have activities, sports, campfires, and fresh meals.It has a differant theme each year like last year was Austrailia.Other themes are Star Wars, Treasure Island and Back to the Future. There is also a trading post that you can by any thing you need.We also go rafting, canoeing, horse riding, and camping. We've gone to Steamtown National Park in Pennsylvania.

Merit Badges We've done

From Archery merit badge to Woodworking Merit badge we cover it. So far we've done at least 30 merit badges all together. Some of our older scouts may have more badges than our newer scouts, but they quickly catch up in badges, skills and rank advancement.

Awards We've Won

Over the past few years we have won awards as a troop and individually.At summer camp we've won "Honor Troop" and "Honor Patrol".To achieve this award you must do a service project to the camp that will help other campers have a more enjoyable time.You also have to participate in other activities. This past summer one of our scouts was rewarded an archery award for scoring over 100 points wiith 15 arrows which was quite an exceptional achievment. Another one of our scouts swam a mile across the lake at summer camp and scored 4th place.During the fall for the past two years we've been going to a tantaqua district "Klondike Derby". A Klondike Derby is an event when you go from station to station completing games and activities. You are scored from 1-10 depending on how well you did. The first year we started we came in second place out of 15 differant troops from around the area, and we came in fifth place last year.
